Before I get into the details of this event, I would just like to say that I have been ill. When Pokemon Diamond and Pearl came out I was near enough better, and I have been stuck to the games and I haven't been able to update. I will be adding all the updates very soon.
Anyways I was just watching Cartoon Network, and a Pokemon advertisement come on. It was about Toys R Us and Cartoon Network hosting an Pokemon Summer Day Camp. Showing competitions and that type of stuff. I had no interest, but then they displayed a Mew download. And as soon as they displayed the web site URL I bounced out the room onto the computer.
There is another Mew download this year, and its for us UK people. Yay ^_^! Literally I jumped up and started dancing. I have phoned my parents as they are not in and asked if they would take me as we don't have a Toys R Us. They said yes as long as they don't have work, and I have checked the dates and its possible.
I will be going to get my very first legit Mew ^_^, and here is the information on what games etc you need to take and the requirements;
Step 1) You must have Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, or LeafGreen.
Step 2) You must have a pokedex, and you must be saved in the Pokemon Center.
Step3) Go to the participating stores, and the staff will help with the rest of the download.
From what I have read, they have not said you can use more then one game pack. So it might be one Mew per person. However I am not sure. Also it sounds like an actual download rather then a trade this time. I missed my chance last time, and this time I am lucky to see the advertisements.
Mew was one of the Pokemon I was un-able to get in this quest, but now I can get him. Also as I have said I am not using any old games, I am going to be buying one of the capable games and getting it completed in time for the event. I will post when I have bought this new game, I am un-sure which one it is at the moment.

GameStop Tournament
In America there is a gaming store called "GameStop" well on the 21st July 2007 GameStop will be hosting an Pokemon Diamond and Pearl battling Tournament. Using the new Nintendo Wii game Pokemon Battle Revolution players will be able to use their Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Pokemon and compete against each other.
All players must take their own Nintendo DS consoles and a copy of either Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl. This will be at many GameStop stores all over America. The winners from each store will get a copy of Pokemon Battle Revolution, a Poketopic T-Shirt. All second place players will get a Poketopia T-Shirt and all players will get a "Free Pokemon Gift".
I am guessing that this free gift may be a event Pokemon, probably nothing like Darkrai or Shaymin but probably a spacial Pikachu or something like that. That's my guess anyway, it could be a free Pokemon magazine or something. We do not yet know, however when players go to this tournament they will be able to tell us what the free gift was.
The Tournament is only one day, and is only at selected GameStop stores. You can get the the list of selected stores from here. This event is also sponsored by Nintendo so it is I would say semi official. When we discover what the free Pokemon gift is I will report back and let you all know.

Japan Darkrai Event
So one of the unobtainable Pokemon have been released in Japan, however not everyone will be getting one unfortunately. From July 14th 2007 to the 9th September 2007 people who live in Japan will be able to go to selected movie theaters and if they go and see the new 10th Pokemon movie they will be able to download the spacial Pokemon Darkrai.
Usually the know way of getting Darkrai would be to download an Members Card from an event, however they are downloading Darkrai not the Members Card directly to your game pack. They use a local Mystery Gift to make the download. My opinion on this is because of the glitches that allow you to get the Island Darkrai, so they made a rarer one.
When you get the Darkrai onto your Pokemon Diamond or Pearl game, it will be holding an Enigma Berry, and it will be in the Cherish Ball. The Darkrai will also have the Classic Ribbon, and two spacial moves Roar of Time which is Dialga's spacial move, and Spacial Rend which is Palkia's spacial move.
Also the OT and IDno information is still yet to be confirmed, with so many rumors floating around at the moment we cannot say whet those stats are. Apparently allot of Japanese images on Japanese websites are fakes. Which means any Darkrai's that match that are hacked. However I cannot confirm this myself, so them facts are peoples opinions.

Okay, so here is all the information on what an event is and where you find events. Well events as in Pokemon events are spacial arrangements where Pokemon fans can go and take part in something spacial. I am talking about Pokemon gaming events and no other type of events. Pokemon events are taken place all over the world Europe, United States, and Japan.
What Is A Pokemon Event?
A Pokemon gamin event is where Nintendo arrange gathering of Pokemon fans to meet and take part in spacial activities. Usually events are taken place to win prizes, these events are often battling events and the winning trainer wins cool Nintendo prizes. The most popular and common event is a Pokemon give away.
What Do You Mean By Pokemon Give Away?
What I mean by a Pokemon give away I mean the events purpose was to give out actual Pokemon or ways to get Pokemon. Nintendo have many ways on giving out Pokemon, they download the Pokemon onto your packs, they download tickets on to your games to go and get Pokemon from secret Islands, and they even trade Pokemon with you. In some way you will get some sort of Item or Pokemon.
Why Do They Give Pokemon Out?
There is one simple reason for this, to give you what you cannot get. Even though they probably make money from this by advertising merchandise and other stuff, the main reason of giving away spacial Pokemon and Tickets is to get the unobtainable and most wanted Pokemon. Well that's if they give them out anyway, they may just download them to your game or trade with you.
All the above events that's was used in my definitions where used because they are the passed give aways. They was for the GameBoy Advance games Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen. Except for the Azure Flute, Oaks Letter, and Members Cards as they have not been given out. Also I doubt all GameBoy Advance events will be happen again, with the new Ninetndo DS games they will knock the old games back.

Diamond/Pearl Information
So I thought I would introduce the main two Pokemon games behind this whole blog, these games will be Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are the fourth generation of the Pokemon world. Before with the original generation there was only 150 Pokemon to catch, but now there are an amazing 493 Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl.
However this doesn't mean that you can catch all of these Pokemon in just the one game, actually trading with Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, Colosseum, and XD you will still not be able to get Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus. As you probably can tell or already know Nintendo love giving us a hard time catching them all.
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl have introduced 107 brand new Pokemon and three you cannot get normally. Also with these games being on the Nintendo DS (Dual Screen) you get to use the second touch screen for more interesting and feature packed gaming. Also with Wi-Fi you get to battle and trade with trainers across the Internet.
Also using a GBA Pokemon game in one side of the Nintendo DS and a copy of Pokemon Diamond or Pearl in the other side you can unlock certain Pokemon and features. Nintendo have really used the capabilities of the Nintendo DS into these Pokemon games. Many of the old features that used to be in the GameBoy Color generation Pokemon Silver and Gold have also returned.
As well as new Pokemon there are new Items, Moves, TMs, HMs, Berries, Abilities, and also a brand new region called Sinnoh. Like other Pokemon games you will start of as a rookie trainer and will catch and train your Pokemon. You will rise to the top from beating the gym leaders to beating the elite four champion.
All the old features such as the Pokedex, and all other features like this have also been improved. So you have the needed features upgraded, the old taken aways features bought back, and you have the brand new features. More specific pages on Diamond and Pearl features will be coming soon, so keep your eyes pealed.
